The Stone Frigate Big Band was pleased to join in a fundraising concert at Martensville High School tonight that showcased a number of school bands in the Prairie Spirit School Division. In addition to joining in with one of the concert bands, we announced a donation of $1000 to the Martensville High School Band to purchase a drum kit. The SFBB also donated $1000 to the Prairie Spirit Band Program to help build the pool of instruments for students who would not otherwise be able to join the program. One of the missions of the Stone Frigate Big Band, a not-for-profit corporation, is to support high school band programs through direct donations and participation in promotional events.
