The Stone Frigate Big Band is delighted to be sharing the stage at The Bassment June 18 with the Saskatoon Community Jazz Band under the direction of Doug Gilmour. The Saskatoon Community Jazz Band will open the evening, and we’ll follow with two sets. And we’ve changed it up again. Some different classic swing charts, some contemporary swing and some new charts that most of our audience hasn’t heard yet. Much like the Stone Frigate Big Band, the Saskatoon Community Jazz Band provides a means for adult players to pursue their passion for playing jazz, so this is a wonderful opportunity for us to share an evening of big band jazz.
